Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell comes to the ring accompanied by Intro Song. Jones has chosen buck the world as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Mitchell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Mitchell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mitchell wants to pass to mount but Jones is defending the position.
Jones is trying to stand up here but Mitchell is controlling him well.
Mitchell tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Mitchell is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Jones is controlling an arm, preventing Mitchell from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Mitchell working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up.
Jones wants to try and get back to his feet.

Mitchell has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mitchell is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jones is surviving well by controlling Mitchell's body position as best he can.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
You get the feeling that Jones really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Jones looks gassed!

Mitchell stands up from mount. Strange move.
Martin Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mitchell drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones wants to stand up but Mitchell is controlling him.
Mitchell passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Mitchell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mitchell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mitchell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mitchell is controlling him well.

Mitchell prevents Jones from escaping the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Mitchell has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Mitchell works to advance to full mount. Jones defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Mitchell is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Mitchell extends the arm and Jones is forced to tap!
