Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into the arena with Straight Out of Compton blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marcus Hester was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hester's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Johnson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hester scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Marcus Hester has been cut.

Hester darts in and clinches Johnson up against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Johnson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

and Hester counters with a shoot takedown. Johnson fights it but they end up in guard.

Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hester doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hester manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've been hearing good reports from Johnson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
