Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Fenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt looks to score with a jab to the body but Fenix is just out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Holt. Fenix does a little dance to reset his feet.
Holt misses with a body shot
and Fenix counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Manny Holt has been cut.
Fenix is looking to score with low kicks.
Fenix uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Holt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fenix.
Holt swings for the body but Fenix moves out of range.
Fenix steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Holt.
Holt throws a lazy right hand but Fenix sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Holt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fenix manages to avoid it.
Fenix throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Holt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fenix cracks the inside of Holt's front leg.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fenix looks to throw a body kick
and Holt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Donk. Fenix catches Holt right on the button with a cross.
Holt looks to throw the jab but Fenix is out of range.
Fenix works the jab nicely.
Fenix takes one to the side of the head.

Holt digs a good hook to Fenix's body.
Fenix stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fenix wants it to stay on the feet.

Holt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Fenix counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fenix.
Fenix will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fenix cracks Holt with a solid left hand.
Fenix in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've been hearing that Fenix has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fenix slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fenix working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fenix has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fenix throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Holt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Holt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fenix wants to get back to full guard but Holt has mounted him!

Holt lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fenix wants to hold on but Holt pushes him away.
Fenix takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Holt connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fenix is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Holt fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fenix is looking to improve his position but Holt isn't that keen on the idea.

Fenix is rocked!
A big strike lands for Holt! That's really hurt Fenix and he's turned his back - Holt keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Holt jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
