The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chinelinho shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Chinelinho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yomata does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chinelinho got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yomata has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chinelinho has managed to get both his arms back between Yomata's legs - danger averted.
Chinelinho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yomata. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yomata throws a low kick but Chinelinho moves out of range easily.

We're going to have a standup here because Kenji Yomata wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Yomata takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Yomata unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Chinelinho wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Yomata celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
