Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Curt Knowles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ernir Just!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Just swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Knowles counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Just shoots in and gets a takedown into Knowles's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Just in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Just trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Just must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Just wants to stand and escape but instead Knowles has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Knowles throws a strike there. Just manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Knowles is working for a kimura but Just is defending it quite comfortably.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Knowles is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Just is just riding it out for now. Knowles eventually gives up the hold.
Knowles moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Just.

Just tries to buck Knowles off but Knowles is having none of it.
Knowles looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Just tries to escape but Knowles is in control.
Just parries the strikes from Knowles easily there. Knowles is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Just to escape.
Knowles is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Just knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Just tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Knowles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Knowles misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Just really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knowles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Just is looking to clinch but Knowles is avoiding it.
Just thows a body shot but no joy.
Just doesn't manage to clinch there - Knowles circles away.
Ernir Just seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Just tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knowles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Knowles gets caught flat footed, as Just shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Just trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Knowles manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Knowles throws a big elbow that misses.
Just working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knowles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Knowles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Curt Knowles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Just wants to stand and escape but Knowles is having none of it.
Knowles postures up in Just's guard and throws a big left but Just blocks it.
Just looking for subs off his back but Knowles has passed one foot through into half guard.
Knowles looks to land a strike but Just avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Just should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Just looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Knowles has picked Just up and slammed him! Just can't keep hold of the triangle and Knowles manages to pass to side control!
Knowles is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Just is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Knowles lands a nice forearm strike.
Just gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Knowles scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are battling for position here. Just manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Just is looking to stand up but Knowles isn't so interested in that idea.
