Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gert Host (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Thomsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Host is looking to clinch but Thomsen is avoiding it.
Host darts in looking for a takedown but Thomsen gets double underhooks and turns Host into the cage.

Host has clasped his hands together around Thomsen's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Host working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Host wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thomsen keeps working.
Thomsen wants to get back to his feet but Host drags him back down.
Thomsen is trying to control Host's posture but Host avoids it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thomsen can do anything to dispel that myth.
Thomsen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Thomsen is still trying to improve position.

Host decides to stand back up. Host steps back and let's Thomsen get back to his feet.
Host misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thomsen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Thomsen connects with a body shot that sends Host's belly button to the back.
A head kick misses from Thomsen.
Thomsen lands a body shot.
Host on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Thomsen misses with a head kick.
Thomsen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Host looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Thomsen throws a solid leg kick but Host takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thomsen.
Host walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Host is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thomsen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gert Host. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Host moves in looking to clinch but Thomsen pushes him off.

Thomsen drops Host with a left right combo! Thomsen follows him down to the ground into side control.

Host is rocked!

It looks like Gert Host has been cut.
Host is breathing heavily.
Thomsen misses with the ground and pound.
Oh Host is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A lull in the action here.

Thomsen decides to stand back up.
Steven Thomsen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thomsen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Host seems to have got his legs back now.
Thomsen throws a sloppy head kick and Host moves out of range easily.
Host throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thomsen.
Thomsen throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Host crashing down! Host tries to stagger back to his feet but Thomsen just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Host asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
