Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Rehnmark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Booker Huffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Booker Huffman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Rehnmark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Booker Huffman!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rehnmark doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Huffman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rehnmark's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Huffman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rehnmark swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Huffman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rehnmark is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Huffman, into his guard.

Huffman has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at HARRY'S. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Huffman has gone for a leg lock! Rehnmark slips out almost immediately though and dives into Huffman's guard.

Huffman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rehnmark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Huffman throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rehnmark escapes and throws Huffman's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Huffman is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Huffman wants to control for a moment but Rehnmark uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Huffman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Huffman advances position into side control!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rehnmark has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Huffman after a bit of a struggle.
Rehnmark is trying to push Huffman away but Huffman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rehnmark goes for a takedown attempt but Huffman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jack Rehnmark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Huffman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rehnmark tries a knee to the head but Huffman blocks it.

Huffman jumps guard but Rehnmark stands there with Huffman around his waist. Huffman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Huffman works his foot free and advances to mount.

Rehnmark looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rehnmark is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Huffman just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Rehnmark is in a bad position with Huffman working for a choke. Rehnmark manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Huffman has his foot on Rehnmark's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rehnmark works his way back into a safe position though.

Huffman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rehnmark is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Huffman.
Rehnmark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Huffman keeps working.

Booker Huffman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rehnmark lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Huffman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Huffman wants it to stay on the feet.

Rehnmark has taken the fight to the clinch.
Huffman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rehnmark up against the cage.

Huffman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Huffman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Huffman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rehnmark is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Huffman is controlling him well.

Booker Huffman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Huffman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
