Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rexford King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moerder Manni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by Chase and Status- No Problem. Rexford King has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rexford King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Moerder Manni!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manni ducks under a wild hook from King.
Manni takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Moerder Manni has been cut.

King scores with a takedown into Manni's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Manni works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King postures up in Manni's guard and throws a big left but Manni blocks it.

Manni working for submissions but it's allowed King to get to half guard.
King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Manni on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

King is working for a kimura but Manni is defending it quite comfortably.

King is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Manni defends it well.
Manni trying to hold on to King's head to control him but King postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

King looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
King is looking to take a break and control but Manni is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

King wants to work for an arm triangle but Manni is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Manni's head.
Manni wants to control but King is keeping busy and won't allow it.
King throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
King wants to take a breather but Manni is having none of it.
King misses with a head shot. Manni uses the momentum to regain guard.
King preventing the sweep.

King has gone for a leg lock! Manni slips out almost immediately though and dives into King's guard.
King is trying to keep Manni in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

King has his foot on Manni's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Manni works his way back into a safe position though.
King throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

King is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Manni is aware though and is defending well.

King is looking for a triangle but Manni pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King is breathing heavily.

King escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Manni gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Manni wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
King seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Manni avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Manni trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
Manni seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
King keeping moving, preventing Manni from controlling successfully.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Moerder Manni wasn't active enough on the ground.
King moves out of range of the body kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

King shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Manni is trying to defend but King finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manni is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rexford King dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Moerder Manni's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

King misses with a jab, cross combination.
King scores with a jab to the jaw.
Manni closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away.

King feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Manni has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. King doesn't defend quickly enough and Manni has managed to lock this one up! Can King escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Manni on a fantastic submission victory.
