Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Andersson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersson connects with a high kick.


It looks like Patrick Turner has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Andersson.

Andersson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Turner wants to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Andersson clinches up with Turner and pushes him back against the cage.

Andersson is trying to trip Turner. He has hold of a leg but Turner is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Andersson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Andersson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Turner tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Andersson is in Turner's guard.

Andersson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Turner is trying to defend but Andersson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Andersson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Turner to the ground. Andersson is now in Turner's guard.

Turner is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Andersson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Andersson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Turner is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
You can see the frustration on Turner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Andersson decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Turner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Turner looks to land a combination. Andersson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Turner is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Andersson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Turner avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Andersson.

Andersson decides to stand back up. Andersson steps back and let's Turner get back to his feet.

Turner clinches with his opponent.
Turner looking to throw knees to the head but Andersson is blocking nicely.
Andersson is trying to push Turner away but Turner has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Andersson drags the fight down to the ground.
Andersson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Turner manages to get himself to full guard.

Andersson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Turner, up you get!

Andersson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Turner, pushing him back against the cage.

Andersson manages to break the clinch.

Turner gets caught napping as Andersson dives in and scores a takedown. Turner manages to retain guard.
Andersson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Andersson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Andersson is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Turner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Martin Andersson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Andersson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Andersson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Turner is trying to control Andersson's posture but Andersson avoids it.
Andersson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Turner's shoulder. That is not cool.

Andersson decides to stand back up. Andersson steps back and let's Turner get back to his feet.

Turner is trying to stall.
Turner will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Andersson up against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Patrick Turner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Turner avoids the head kick by Andersson.
Turner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Andersson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Patrick Turner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Andersson throws a nice looking combination but Turner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Turner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Martin Andersson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Andersson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
