PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mica Gavric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Hallick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gavric comes into the arena with Frank Zappa - Cocaine Decisions blaring out of the sound system. Al Hallick will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mica Gavric!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Hallick!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gavric shoots in looking for a takedown but Hallick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gavric's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gavric fails with a takedown attempt.
Jab from Hallick.
Gavric shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mica Gavric. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gavric looks to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Gavric fails with a takedown attempt.

Gavric closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gavric lands in his opponent's guard.

Hallick wants to sweep here but Gavric controlling him for the moment.

Gavric gets to his feet. Hallick looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gavric is looking to land body kicks.
Hallick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hallick connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gavric blocks a head kick by Hallick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hallick works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gavric shoots in looking for a takedown. Hallick tries to sprawl out of it but Gavric keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hallick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hallick throws a shot to the body.
Gavric dives in and grabs Hallick's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hallick pushes down on Gavric's head and hops out.

Hallick lands a big head kick that sends Gavric tumbling to the mat! Hallick takes a step backwards and waves Gavric back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gavric is rocked!

It looks like Mica Gavric has been cut.
Gavric throws a lazy uppercut
and Hallick counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Gavric falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
