The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Maynard drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Stark wants to control but Maynard postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maynard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stark knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Maynard has hold of Stark's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Stark tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Maynard cranks the arm and Stark screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stark, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
