Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between McGillicuddy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Unai Arana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arana comes into a darkened arena with his song building. NoMeansNo - Beat on the Brat kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones looks to land a right hand but Arana moved out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Arana. That's going to slow Jones down.
Jones misses with a looping left.
Jones moves out of range of the body kick from Arana.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Arana sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Arana moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Arana moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Arana counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McGillicuddy Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a jab when Arana was well out of range.

Jones throws a lazy right hand but Arana sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Jones connects with a single shot there.
A lazy left from Jones finds it's target.
Arana lands a right hook to the body.

Arana sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Arana counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Arana.
Arana lands a hook that snaps the head of Jones backwards.

Arana is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Arana escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Arana checks it well.
Jones swings for the body but Arana moves out of range.
Arana connects with a solid leg kick.
Arana scores with a jab to the head.
Jones is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Arana uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.
Arana takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Arana moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
Arana cracks a nice hook into Jones's ribs.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Arana.

Arana lands a jab to Jones's midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arana steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones throws a lazy uppercut
and Arana counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Arana connects with a right hand. Jones shakes it off.
Jones connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Arana lands a jab to the head.

and Arana counters by clinching up.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Arana lands a hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones scores with a shot to the side of Arana's head.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arana lands a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that McGillicuddy Jones will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Arana paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones throws a push kick but Arana slaps the foot to one side.
Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Arana lands a glancing blow to the side of Jones's head.
Arana is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like McGillicuddy Jones has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Arana.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Arana jabs Jones to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fighters circle, before Arana throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Jones's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Arana lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Unai Arana!
Unai Arana spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
