Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Val Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Dandas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Val Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bruce Dandas!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dandas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Moss wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dandas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Dandas postures up in Moss's guard and throws a big left but Moss blocks it.
Dandas with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dandas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Moss trying to control the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Val Moss wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Moss misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Dandas to counter with a crisp jab.

Moss gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Moss really is a fat lump.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dandas content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Dandas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Dandas makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Moss is trying to control the position but Dandas postures up.
Moss wants to sweep but no luck.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Moss holds on and takes a little breather.
Dandas throwing strikes but missing.
Moss is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Moss keeping moving, preventing Dandas from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Val Moss.
Moss fails to land the takedown.
Dandas is looking to clinch but Moss is avoiding it.

Dandas scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Dandas manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Moss on his heels. He'll look to pass Moss's guard now, I'm sure.

Dandas wants to control from the top but Moss keeps moving.
Moss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dandas lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Moss pulls Dandas in close to prevent any damage.
Dandas distracts Moss with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Dandas trying to control the position from guard on top but Moss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bruce Dandas wasn't active enough on the ground.
Moss shoots in and drives through. Dandas sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Val Moss. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dandas.
Moss sneaks back into half guard.
Dandas wants to control but Moss is keeping him busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Dandas seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moss is looking to control Dandas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moss avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dandas working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Moss has hold of Dandas's hands but Dandas slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Moss trying to control but Dandas postures up.
Moss avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dandas.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dandas trying to control the action but Moss is working from the bottom.
Moss is trying to maintain the position but Dandas is very close to passing his half guard.
Ground and pound from Dandas.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Moss is pressing down on Dandas's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Dandas stopping the sweep attempt from Moss.
Moss is breathing heavily.
Moss not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Dandas dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Moss gets caught napping as Dandas dives in and scores a takedown. Moss manages to retain guard.
Dandas working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Moss looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dandas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Moss tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dandas's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Dandas is in close to Moss's body, working some short punches and elbows.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Dandas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dandas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Dandas lands a couple of elbows.
Dandas postures up in Moss's guard and throws a big left but Moss blocks it.
Moss controlling the position.
Dandas postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Moss keeping moving, preventing Dandas from controlling successfully.
Moss pulls Dandas in close to prevent any damage.
Dandas working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dandas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Moss might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Moss pulls Dandas in close to prevent any damage.
Moss is trying to control the position but Dandas postures up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Dandas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Moss works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dandas is working Moss over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dandas drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moss manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dandas has Moss in his guard.
Dandas is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Moss throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dandas works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dandas keeping moving, preventing Moss from controlling successfully.
Moss stands up over Dandas, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dandas lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Moss!
Moss working to try and regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dandas lands a couple of good shots and Moss has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Moss trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Bruce Dandas has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dandas is punishing Moss with strikes - can he finish him?!


Moss is rocked!
Dandas lands shots to the head and Moss turtles up! The ref has seen enough and stops the fight! This one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce Dandas!
An out of breath Bruce Dandas thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
