Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenta Sazuki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nakamura blocks a head kick by Sazuki.
Sazuki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nakamura paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nakamura swats away the attempt to clinch by Sazuki.
A right-left combo lands from Nakamura.
Nice jab there from Nakamura.
Kenta Sazuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sazuki tries to clinch but Nakamura moves out of range.
Sazuki is looking to clinch but Nakamura is avoiding it.
Nakamura throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sazuki on the side of the head.
Sazuki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nakamura but Nakamura pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sazuki tries to land a front kick but Nakamura steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Good work by Sazuki as he checks the leg kick.

Sazuki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nakamura paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sazuki looks to score with a jab to the body but Nakamura is just out of range.

and Nakamura counters with a stiff right hand.
Nakamura checks a leg kick nicely.
Nakamura bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sazuki's head backwards.
A cross from Nakamura lands.
Sazuki throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nakamura is rocked!
Nakamura bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sazuki's head.
Sazuki closes the distance looking to clinch
and Nakamura counters with a nice body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nakamura drives through and clinches with Sazuki against the cage.
Sazuki missing with knees to the body.
Nakamura manages to break the clinch.
Sazuki misses with a head kick.
Sazuki looks gassed!
Nakamura bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sazuki's head.
Sazuki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nakamura darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nakamura lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sazuki is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sazuki has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nakamura finds it's way round the side to connect with Sazuki's head.
Sazuki is still on wobbly legs! Can Nakamura finish him?
Sazuki wants to clinch but Nakamura slips to the side
and Sazuki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nakamura Rushes Sazuki and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Sazuki is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Nakamura Piles on the pressure and Sazuki crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryo Nakamura!
