Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Maskrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Karl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maskrey's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Amazing- Kanye West. Jimmy Karl has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maskrey fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Maskrey has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maskrey there as he acknowledges the shot.
Maskrey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Karl's waist but Karl gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maskrey off to one side.
Maskrey moves out of range as Karl strikes.
Karl drops Maskrey with a left and a right! Oh, Maskrey is hurt - Karl dives into side control looking to finish!
Maskrey is rocked!
It looks like Nathan Maskrey has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Maskrey seems a little lost for a moment, as Karl dominates the positioning.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nathan Maskrey.
