The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miric connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Shawn Taylor has been cut.
Miric swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Taylor.
Miric ducks under a wild hook from Taylor.
Taylor misses with a takedown attempt - Miric sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Taylor fails in his attempt to clinch.
Miric lunges at Taylor with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Taylor's hand.
Miric cracks Taylor with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Taylor looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Miric finish him?
Taylor is rocked!
That has opened up Shawn Taylor's cut even more.
Miric fakes the body blow, causing Taylor to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Taylor goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mitar Miric!
A relieved looking Mitar Miric thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Shawn Taylor had this to say: 'He was..just....He was the better fighter tonight. I'm down but not out. It's not about the knockdown, it's about the get-up. I'll be back, better than ever. '.
