Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dequantes Lamar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dequantes Lamar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Riggs!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riggs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lamar, pushing him back against the cage.

Lamar gets a trip takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lamar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Riggs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lamar.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lamar controls the position.

Lamar tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Riggs can do anything to dispel that myth.
Riggs wants to control but Lamar postures up.

Lamar tries for a kimura but Riggs is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lamar wants to stand but Riggs is controlling his arm.
Lamar trying to control the position but Riggs is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lamar misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Lamar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riggs keeps working.
Lamar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Riggs is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dequantes Lamar wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Riggs clinches.

Lamar is fighting off a takedown attempt but Riggs is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lamar to the mat. Lamar regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riggs slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lamar controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dequantes Lamar.

Riggs has taken the fight to the clinch.

Riggs lands a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Riggs preventing the sweep.
Lamar controls Riggs momentarily but Riggs frees himself.
Riggs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lamar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lamar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Riggs manages to get himself to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riggs is adopting a defensive guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dequantes Lamar will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Riggs rushes Lamar and presses him up against the cage.
Riggs will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lamar up against the cage.

Lamar pulls Riggs into guard.
Riggs slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Riggs throwing strikes but missing.
Riggs's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lamar thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lamar wants to sweep but no luck.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Riggs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Riggs lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Lamar trying to control from the bottom.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Riggs in particular looking to stall.

Riggs is controlling the pace.
Riggs thows a huge punch but Lamar dodges it nicely.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jackson Riggs.

Riggs gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lamar is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Riggs drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lamar pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lamar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice cross by Riggs.

Lamar gets tackled into the cage by Riggs. Riggs maintains the clinch.
Riggs is trying to drag Lamar to the mat but Lamar just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Riggs has hold of one of Lamar's legs. Lamar is fighting the takedown attempt but Riggs gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Lamar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Riggs's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lamar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Riggs wants to sweep but no luck.
Riggs pulls Lamar in close to prevent any damage.
Lamar postures up in Riggs's guard and throws a big left but Riggs blocks it.
Lamar trying to control but Riggs is working from the bottom.
Lamar is really struggling to control Riggs but he's trying to hold on to the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dequantes Lamar.

Lamar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lamar has his foot on Riggs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Riggs works his way back into a safe position though.

Lamar is looking to cinch up a triangle. Riggs throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lamar's body to avoid the submission. Lamar has instead reached around Riggs's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lamar arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dequantes Lamar!
