Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Panzram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carl Panzram has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Wahl!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wahl shoots in but Panzram avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wahl misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Panzram lets loose with a powerful body kick. Wahl will feel that in the morning.

Wahl gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Wahl has his foot on Panzram's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Panzram works his way back into a safe position though.
Panzram trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Wahl preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Panzram is looking to work some ground and pound but Wahl has wrist control.

Panzram drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wahl manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Panzram has Wahl in his guard.
Panzram wants to sweep but no luck.
Panzram throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Panzram manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wahl manages to get himself to full guard.
Panzram passes into half guard.
Wahl is looking to improve his position.
Wahl looks gassed!
Panzram throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Panzram is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wahl won't allow Panzram to pass to mount.
Wahl keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Panzram missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Panzram has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wahl takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Panzram's corner calls for a 1-2. Panzram obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Panzram drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Wahl looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Panzram content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Panzram moves nicely into side control.
Panzram looks up at the clock and then as Wahl takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Panzram smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Panzram has hold of Wahl's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Wahl tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Panzram cranks the arm and Wahl screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Wahl, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
