The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from OMeara.
Scissors dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Scissors connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed OMeara momentarily.
OMeara is trying hard to land a takedown here. Scissors sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
OMeara looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
OMeara darts in looking for a takedown but Scissors gets double underhooks and turns OMeara into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royston OMeara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
OMeara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Scissors pulls his leg out and moves away.
Scissors clobbers OMeara with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Royston OMeara has been cut.
Scissors defends well against a solid takedown attempt from OMeara.
Scissors slaps away a takedown attempt from OMeara, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Oooooh!!! Scissors has knocked OMeara down with a huge combo! Scissors steps away and waves a wobbly OMeara back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

and Scissors counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Scissors slaps away a takedown attempt from OMeara, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Scissors dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Scissors catches OMeara with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and OMeara forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
