Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Bryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Bryan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thomas clinches.
Bryan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Thomas prevents it.
Thomas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Thomas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bryan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Bryan gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bryan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bryan tries to free his leg and advance position but Thomas is retaining full guard.

Thomas has an active guard here but Bryan has managed to pass into half guard.
Well, if Bryan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Bryan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thomas is just riding it out for now. Bryan eventually gives up the hold.
Thomas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bryan is working away from the top position though.
Bryan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Daniel Bryan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Bryan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thomas napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Thomas is trying to work for a sweep but Bryan has mounted him!

Bryan is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Bryan extends the arm and Thomas is forced to tap!
