Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Dux!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Yap!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yap falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Dux counter with a right hand.
Yap bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dux throws a nice outside leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Dux.
Yap scores with a decent looking hook.
Yap throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Yap lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dux lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Yap misses with a double jab.
Yap avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fighters circling - Yap throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Yap fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Yap throws an overhand right that lands on Dux's shoulder, as Dux tries to avoid the shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yap fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Dux lands a nice leg kick that just misses Yap's sensitive parts.
Dux looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Yap fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dux manages to avoid it.
Dux misses with an uppercut.
Yap throws a nice looking combination but Dux bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A combination from Yap does no damage.
A punch combination from Yap misses.
Dux cracks Yap with an open hand slap.
Dux with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dux works the jab nicely.
Dux swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Yap.
Yap has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice defenses there by Yap.
Jay Yap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yap waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dux.
Yap misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dux misses with a looping right.
Yap with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dux to score with a decent uppercut.
Dux fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yap.
Yap fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dux is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Yap is rocked!
Yap on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Yap is still on wobbly legs! Can Dux finish him?
Dux lands with an overhand left.
Yap throws a series of punches but Dux avoids them all with ease.
A big right from Dux misses.
A slow jab from Dux misses its intended target.
Yap throws a nice looking combination but Dux bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dux is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Dux lands with a hook. Yap tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Dux misses with a straight left.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dux is looking to slow Yap down with leg kicks.
Dux circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Yap to the canvas! Yap doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Dux keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
