Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michel Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Adriano Ribeiro was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michel Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro fails with a takedown attempt.
Ribeiro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ford defends it nicely.
Ribeiro gets a double leg takedown into Ford's guard.
Ribeiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ford swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ribeiro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ford's guard.
Ford knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ribeiro on the ground.
Well, if Ribeiro is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ribeiro frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ford is trying desperately to improve position.
Ribeiro controlling the position easily from mount.
Ribeiro thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Ford tries to hold on but Ribeiro pushes him away.
Ribeiro lands a heavy elbow.
Ribeiro controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ford really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ribeiro takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ford holds on to Ribeiro around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
Ford working to try and regain half guard.
Ribeiro has hold of Ford's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ford manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ribeiro jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ford is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ford and Ribeiro has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here as Ribeiro stalls from top position.
Ford really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The strikes coming from Ribeiro are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
You can see the frustration on Ford's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ribeiro has an Americana. Ford didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ribeiro is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ribeiro hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
