Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mario Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro keeps the fight on the outside.
Ribeiro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
AJ Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Taylor darts in and clinches Ribeiro up against the cage.

Taylor breaks from the clinch.
Taylor tries to clinch but Ribeiro moves out of range.
Ribeiro swats away the attempt to clinch by Taylor.
Taylor doesn't manage to clinch there - Ribeiro circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taylor moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Taylor tries to clinch but Ribeiro moves out of range.

and Taylor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Taylor is thwarting Ribeiro's attempts to control the position.
Ribeiro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ribeiro is looking to control Taylor's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ribeiro avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ribeiro is pressing down on Taylor's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ribeiro wants to sweep here but Taylor controlling him for the moment.

Ribeiro had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Taylor is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ribeiro Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Taylor's back instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ribeiro working for a choke but Taylor is defending well.

Taylor staying busy and making it hard for Ribeiro to control.

Ribeiro wants to sweep here but Taylor controlling him for the moment.

Ribeiro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Taylor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ribeiro has his feet on Taylor's thighs here. He's pushed Taylor off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Taylor screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
