Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuai Liang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Riggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kuai Liang!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs moves out of range of the strikes.
Riggs is looking to clinch but Liang is avoiding it.

Riggs darts in and clinches Liang up against the cage.
Liang can't find room to land a body shot as Riggs controls the action.
Riggs is working for takedown but Liang is calmly controlling the position for now.
Liang misses with a short punch on the inside.

Riggs is trying to trip Liang. He has hold of a leg but Liang is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Riggs persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Liang keeping moving, preventing Riggs from controlling successfully.
Riggs slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Liang trying to control the position here.
Liang is trying to keep Riggs in close.
Liang wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Riggs fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Riggs wants to clinch up but Liang keeps it at a distance.
Liang swats away the attempt to clinch by Riggs.

Riggs clinches with his opponent.
Liang being controlled against the cage.
Liang working aggressively here.
Liang is trying to stall.
Riggs wants to take the fight to the mat but Liang manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Riggs has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Liang regains guard immediately.
Liang is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Riggs controlling the position for now.
Liang keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Liang wants to pass to mount but Riggs is defending the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Liang wants to take a breather but Riggs is having none of it.
Riggs trying to control but Liang postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Liang scores with a nice head shot.
Liang misses with a looping left.
Sloppy strikes from Liang. Those never looked like landing.

Riggs moves into the clinch.

Riggs has hold of one of Liang's legs. Liang is fighting the takedown attempt but Riggs gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Riggs trying to control but Liang is working from the bottom.
Liang being controlled here, momentarily.

Liang managing to control the position.
Riggs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Riggs engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jackson Riggs.

Riggs moves into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riggs tries for a takedown. No joy.
Liang is trying to force a seperation but Riggs has the dominant position.
Riggs drops down looking for an ankle pick but Liang pulls his leg out and moves away.
Riggs shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson Riggs dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Liang tries to keep at a distance but Riggs has taken the fight into the clinch.
Riggs drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Liang prevents the takedown attempt.
Riggs has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Liang avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riggs goes for a takedown attempt but Liang pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Riggs blocks a jab.
Liang misses with a hook. Riggs ducked under it nicely.
Riggs tries to close the distance and clinch but Liang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Liang misses with an uppercut. Riggs saw that one coming.

Liang throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Riggs was covering up waiting for the punch and Liang finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Liang pushing down on Riggs's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Liang with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Liang is pressing down on Riggs's thigh, looking to free his foot. Riggs is holding on for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kuai Liang hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Liang fails to land the takedown.

Liang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Liang trying to control the position here.
Riggs wants to control from the top but Liang keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Riggs looking to sit in guard and control but Liang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Liang slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Riggs is being controlled here.
Riggs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Riggs tries to get out of the position.

Liang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riggs keeps working.
Liang is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Riggs tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kuai Liang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Liang closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Riggs's guard.
Riggs trying to control the position.
Liang trying to control the position from guard on top but Riggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liang won't allow Riggs to sweep him here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Riggs avoids the body shot from Liang.
Liang fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Liang throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Riggs rushes Liang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Liang has a couple of punches blocked by Riggs.
Liang misses with a punch on the inside.
Riggs drops down looking for an ankle pick but Liang pulls his leg out and moves away.
Riggs uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Liang.
Riggs wants to clinch
letting Liang counter with a right hand.

Riggs fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riggs is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Riggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Liang.
A punch combination from Liang misses.

Riggs shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Liang is trying to maintain the position but Riggs is very close to passing his half guard.
Riggs not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Riggs is stalling here. Liang is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Riggs seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Liang has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Liang working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Riggs is not content to let Liang control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Liang advances to mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kuai Liang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Liang has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
