Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bam Pow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Billy Ford!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pow lands with a right hand.
Pow stuffs the takedown attempt from Ford. Ford gets slowly back to his feet.
Billy Ford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ford keeps the fight on the outside.
Ford looks for a takedown but Pow sprawls well.

Ford postures up in Pow's guard and throws a big left but Pow blocks it.
Pow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ford on the ground.
Ford wants to control from the top but Pow keeps moving.
Ford with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ford is fighting to break Pow's control of his arms but Pow is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Pow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pow scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Ford has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pow wants to get up but he can't break Ford's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Billy Ford showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
