Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Materla has chosen Sobota - DO góry łeb! as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Michal Materla enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stefan Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michal Materla!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Materla misses with the body kick
and Silva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Materla lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Materla shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Materla shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Materla's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva tries to clinch but Materla is having none of it.

Silva clinches up with Materla and pushes him back against the cage.

Silva has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Materla is trying to keep an underhook but Silva manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Silva seems to be working for a kimura but Materla defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva winds up and cracks Materla with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Materla's head.
Materla has hold of Silva's hands but Silva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Silva is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Materla is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

A relieved looking Stefan Silva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
