Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammer comes to the cage accompanied by Kuningas Pähkinä & Setä Tamu - Hei Scully. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jackson Davis!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis misses with a wild combination.

Hammer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hammer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hammer stops Davis from standing up.

Davis kicks Hammer off and gets to his feet.
Hammer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Davis under the eye.
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hammer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Davis throws a strike but Hammer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Davis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hammer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Davis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hammer, up you get!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis is defended easily by Hammer.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Davis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hammer defends it nicely.

Davis slaps away a takedown attempt from Hammer, before circling back to the center of the mat.

No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hammer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Davis shoots in for a double leg but Hammer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hammer lunges at Davis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Davis's hand.
Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hammer as he jumps to the side.
Hammer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Davis's head backwards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hammer lands with a big left! Davis is wobbled badly! Hammer comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Davis to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
