Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sherk is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Divinations by Mastodon. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivan Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Sherk!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago stuffs the takedown.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Drago checks a leg kick.
Drago swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Drago throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A decent looking cross lands there for Drago.
It looks like Dave Sherk has been cut.
Drago keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Drago has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sherk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ivan Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Sherk.
Drago misses with a straight right.
Drago is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sherk.
Sherk takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Drago checks a low kick from Sherk.
Drago stuns Sherk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sherk wants to clinch but Drago slips to the side
and Drago cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Drago throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Drago feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sherks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sherk is rocked!
Drago knocks out Sherk with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Drago before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Drago picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivan Drago!
