Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). May kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brad May!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kevin Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May scoring well with a low kick there.
May looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
May scores with a leg kick.
May lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
May defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stevens.

Stevens gets a takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
May is refusing to be controlled, as Stevens sits in half guard.
Stevens throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing May to regain full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
May is looking to sweep but instead, Stevens has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stevens wants to work for an arm triangle but May is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevens throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
May trying to hold on to Stevens's head to control him but Stevens postures up.
Stevens wants to pass to mount but May is defending the position.
May tries to roll over but Stevens keeps him under control.
Stevens throwing shots but May is blocking nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
May is pressing down on Stevens's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Stevens passes May's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Stevens stalling.
May avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Stevens.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stevens wants to pass the guard but May is defending well.
Stevens throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Stevens tries to pass the half guard into mount. May knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stevens missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
May keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
May is looking to control Stevens's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can May avoid being mounted?
Stevens slips a nice elbow through May's hands, connecting with May's forehead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
May is trying to control but can't.
May is not content to let Stevens control the position.

Stevens is working for a kimura but May is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stevens not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Stevens dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Stevens closes the distance and clinches up with May, looking for a takedown. Stevens pushes May against the cage but May circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stevens misses the shot to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by May. That's going to slow Stevens down.
May throws a front kick that sends Stevens stumbling back into the cage.
Stevens goes for a double leg but May avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as May continues to drive forward.
A short right from May.
Stevens swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Stevens fails to pull guard.
Brad May has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Stevens.
May cracks Stevens with a nice body shot.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Stevens.
Stevens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as May walks away with a smile on his face. Stevens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Stevens takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice sprawl there from May as Stevens shoots in.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters circle, before May throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Stevens's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! May lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Brad May!
After winning the bout, Brad May thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
