Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Kim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aaron Parsons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Kim!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Parsonss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Parsons looks to clinch

and Kim decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Parsons's guard.
Kim trying to control but Parsons is working from the bottom.
Parsons wants to stand up but Kim is controlling him.
Kim throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Parsons avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Kim drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Parsons dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kim is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Parsons wants to stand but Kim has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Parsons stops Kim from standing up.

Parsons stands up and waves to Kim to follow him.
A big right from Kim misses.
Parsons moves away from the strike by Kim.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Parsons pushes Kim up against the cage in a clinch.
Parsons lands with a light punch inside.
Kim goes for a takedown attempt but Parsons pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Parsons takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A big left from Kim misses.
Parsons moves out of range as Kim strikes.
Kim misses with a lunging right hand
and Parsons cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kim shoots in and gets a takedown into Parsons's guard.
Kim forces his way into half guard.
Kim thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Parsons's head.
Kim with the ground and pound but Parsons uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Kim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parsons swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Parsons is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kim is controlling him.
Kim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kim trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Parsons keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kim won't allow Parsons to get back to his feet.
Kim wants to control from the top but Parsons keeps moving.
Kim throws a strike but Parsons rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Parsons gets to his feet - Kim follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Kim dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kim swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kim looks to land a left hand but Parsons moved out of range nicely.
Kim throws an off balance right hand
and Parsons counters with a crisp right that sends Kim to the canvas! Parsons follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aaron Parsons!
Aaron Parsons was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
The defeated Daniel Kim had this to say: 'no excuses- back to the drawing board.'.
