Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kai Urutaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guillermo Espada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Espada is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Greedy Fly. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Guillermo Espada!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Espada dips to his left and cracks Urutaka with an uppercut!
Urutaka shoots in but Espada avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Urutaka definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Espada keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Guillermo Espada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab lands there for Espada.
Urutaka takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Urutaka blocks a jab.
Urutaka steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Espada.
Urutaka takes a swing at Espada's ribcage but misses.
Espada ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Urutaka moves away.
Espada rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Urutaka counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Urutaka.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Espada is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Urutaka trying to control the position from guard on top but Espada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Urutaka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Urutaka drops back looking for a leg! Espada is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Espada manages to kick Urutaka off! Urutaka jumps back into Espada's guard.
Espada manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Urutaka manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Urutaka is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Espada avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Urutaka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Espada gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Espada lands a couple of digs.
Espada working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Urutaka looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Urutaka looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Espada is defending well. Urutaka quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Espada has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Urutaka celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
