Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Byron Skiddles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Braydon Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Reese's choice of entrance music: Stranglehold. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Byron Skiddles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Braydon Reese!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reese throws a predictable looking body shot

and Skiddles counters by moving into the clinch.
Skiddles is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Reese is stalling here.
Skiddles jumps guard but Reese stands there with Skiddles around his waist. Skiddles gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Reese has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Skiddles comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Reese stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skiddles swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Skiddles escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reese gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reese drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reese jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Reese is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Skiddles knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Skiddles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reese does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Skiddles is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Reese is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well Skiddles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
