Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jisuk Seo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson moves into the clinch successfully.
Jackson looking for a takedown.
Seo wants to take the fight to the mat but Jackson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Seo has been working on his balance at Cozad The Island, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Jackson.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Seo pulls Jackson into guard.
Seo controlling the position.
Jackson stopping the sweep attempt from Seo.

Seo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson trying to control but Seo is working from the bottom.
Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

James Jackson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jackson with a poor takedown

and Seo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now.
Seo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Jackson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Seo is one step ahead there.
Seo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Seo controls the pace.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Some bone on bone action there as Seo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Seo moves into the clinch.
Seo keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Seo gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Seo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jackson defend it? Seo steps over the head and cranks it - Jackson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Seo!
