Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eli Massey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Backscratcher!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Massey rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Backscratcher to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Eli Massey has been cut.
Massey connects with the punch.
Backscratcher walks into a jab.
Backscratcher lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Backscratcher's coach down at Kick In The Nutz Gym (14 Elite Coaches, Low Cap) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Backscratcher's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Backscratcher on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Massey. Massey obviously looking to wear him down.
Backscratcher avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Massey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Backscratcher is trying to improve his position.
Backscratcher can't do much from the bottom here.
Massey creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Backscratcher sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Massey cracks Backscratcher with a big right hand but Backscratcher just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Backscratcher takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
