Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bada Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogie McGill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - All Nightmare Long. Bogie McGill is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bada Boom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bogie McGill!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom shoots in and drives through. McGill sprawls well.
Boom fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bada Boom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bada Boom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boom looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McGill is fending him off so far but Boom persists. Nope, McGill circles away and we're back to standing.
Boom shoots in but McGill avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Boom shoots in for a double leg but McGill sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Boom is breathing heavily.

McGill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
McGill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boom swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGill slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

McGill tries for a kimura but Boom is defending well.

McGill decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Boom gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and McGill counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Boom's head.
McGill looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Boom tries to roll over but McGill keeps him under control.
McGill has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
McGill unloads with some shots from mount but Boom bucks and avoids them well.

Boom keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Boom tries to hold on but McGill pushes him away.
McGill throws some wild stikes that Boom manages to avoid easily.
McGill looking to control but Boom is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Boom bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Boom advances position into side control!

Boom tries for a kimura but McGill is defending well.
Boom trying to control the action but McGill is working from the bottom.

Boom looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

McGill manages to work his way to half guard, despite Boom's best efforts.
Boom is keen to just control but McGill is a slippery customer.
Boom uses his free foot to push down on McGill's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for McGill.
McGill has given up his back. Will we see Boom going for some submissions?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bogie McGill dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



McGill scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Boom looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Boom regains full guard. Nicely done.
Boom trying to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boom working for submissions but it's allowed McGill to get to half guard.

Boom tries to get to full guard but McGill has control of the leg.

McGill seems to be looking for submissions.

Boom looking for submissions off his back.
McGill prevents Boom from improving his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Boom is trying to control but can't.

McGill is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are battling for position here. Boom manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Boom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

McGill avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Boom tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McGill wants to control from the top but Boom keeps moving.
Boom looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGill is one step ahead there.
Boom is working hard here to advance position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boom controls McGill momentarily but McGill frees himself.
Boom looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Boom keeping moving, preventing McGill from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Boom looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Boom slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Boom forces his way into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bada Boom dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

and McGill counters with a nice double leg into side control. Boom won't be happy with that.

McGill looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Boom manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Boom gets full guard.

Boom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boom tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boom trying to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boom looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McGill puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Boom is looking to improve his position.
McGill is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Boom!

McGill swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Boom is now in McGill's guard. A big mistake from McGill there, giving up the dominant position!

Boom drops back looking for a leg! McGill is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McGill manages to kick Boom off! Boom jumps back into McGill's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Boom avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boom is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Boom slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Boom tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Boom goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McGill rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Boom's guard! Nice work there by McGill!
Boom looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Boom isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McGill stacks Boom on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McGill!
McGill trying to control the position but Boom is working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Boom tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The strikes coming from McGill are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Boom tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McGill wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Some wild striking there from McGill.
Boom takes a kick to the side of the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Bogie McGill.
Well McGill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
