Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Efrain Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jensen Maint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maint tries a head kick but it misses.
Jensen Maint seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good leg kick by Maint there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nice takedown defense from Hall. No joy for Maint on that attempt.
Maint with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hall counters by moving into the clinch.
Maint tries to score a body lock takedown but Hall shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Efrain Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jensen Maint.
Maint jumps guard and drags Hall to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Maint is trying to control the position but Hall postures up.

Maint is wriggling around but Hall manages to pass to half guard.

Hall looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hall decides to stand up.
Hall slaps away a takedown attempt from Maint, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Maint throws a leg kick but Hall sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Maint ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Maint throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hall.
Maint shoots and misses
and Hall counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hall tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Maint avoids it.
Hall wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Hall doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Maint with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Maint tries to pull guard but Hall holds him up against the cage and eventually Maint drops back down to his feet.
Hall tries to land knees in the clinch but Maint avoids the damage to the body.
Hall has Maint pressed against the cage, preventing Maint from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Maint tries for a takedown but Hall manages to get underhooks.
Maint prevents a body shot from Hall.
Hall is trying to break the clinch but Maint is controlling him.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Maint tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hall smiles and moves away.

and Hall counters by clinching up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Maint fails to land the takedown.
A head kick misses from Hall.
Maint has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maint decides to pull guard.
Hall would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hall stands up and waves to Maint to follow him.

Hall shoots for a double leg takedown but Maint sprawls well. He's pushed Hall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hall doesn't manage to clinch there - Maint circles away.
Maint fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Maint shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hall sprawls well. Hall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maint gets slowly back to his feet.

Hall tries to clinch but Maint is having none of it.
Maint closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hall keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Maint has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hall is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Maint is breathing heavily.
Hall misses with a punch to the body.
Maint tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Maint is trying to drag Hall to the mat but Hall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hall gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Hall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hall slaps away a takedown attempt from Maint, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hall looks to land a body kick but Maint moved away.
Hall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No joy there for Hall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Maint has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Maint misses with a body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hall is defended easily by Maint.
Maint shoots in and drives through. Hall sprawls well.
Maint shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hall counters with a big head kick but Maint shrugs it off.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Maint shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hall defends it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Maint dives in for a single leg takedown but Hall sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Maint breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Maint shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hall counters with a one-two to the body.
Hall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hall showed some decent athleticism there.
Hall decides to stand and escape the position.
Maint takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Maint.

Hall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hall throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maint tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hall is in Maint's guard.
Maint is working an open guard so Hall takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Maint pushes Hall up against the cage in a clinch.

Maint is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hall gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Maint's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Maint misses with an attempted mid kick.

Maint is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hall.
Hall misses with a left hand
and Maint connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Maint fails to land with a series of punches.
Hall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Maint to the mat! Maint manages to get full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hall wants to get up but he can't break Maint's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Maint has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hall gets to his feet. Maint looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Hall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Hall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Maint wants to control the position but Hall says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Maint tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Hall manages to move to mount!
Efrain Hall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hall stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Hall tries a head kick but it misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
