The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King lands with an uppercut that bounces Shishkanov off the cage and back into range.
A jab lands there for King.

King gets a takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
King trying to control from half guard but Shishkanov is working away.
Shishkanov keeping hold of King's head, controlling as best he can.
The fighters are battling for position here. Shishkanov manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Shishkanov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
King throws an elbow that misses. Shishkanov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in King's guard. Nice move by Shishkanov!
We've been hearing that Shishkanov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

King is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Shishkanov rolls with it to try and escape but King cranks on the arm and Shishkanov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
