The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayfield ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brick moves away.
Mayfield takes a swing at Brick's ribcage but misses.
Brick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mayfield doesn't manage to clinch there - Brick circles away.
Mayfield throws a body punch but Brick moves out of range.
Mayfield wants to clinch.
Mayfield cracks Brick with a good jab.

It looks like Daryl Brick has been cut.
Mayfield throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mayfield is looking to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mayfield is looking to clinch but Brick is avoiding it.
Mayfield scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Brick staying out of range there.
Brick keeps the fight on the outside.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mayfield.

Mayfield doesn't manage to clinch there - Brick circles away.

Mayfield shoots in for a double leg but Brick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Mayfield is breathing heavily.

Brick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mayfield knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brick on the ground.

Brick is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mayfield defends it well.
Mayfield tries to kick Brick off in order to stand up. Brick Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Brick in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Mayfield tries to buck Brick off but Brick is having none of it.

Brick working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mayfield looks to move to half guard but instead Brick has passed into mount! Damn!

Brick has hold of Mayfield's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mayfield manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Brick swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
