Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harry Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bass checks a leg kick.
Potter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bass lands a nice looking body kick.
Potter looks to land a combination but Bass avoids it well.
A combination from Potter does no damage.
Bass avoids a punch combination nicely.
Potter gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Bass counters with a single leg into guard. Potter didn't expect that.

Bass drops back, looking for a kneebar! Potter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Potter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Potter!
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Bass has eaten all the pies!
Bass throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Potter taking a breather here.
Bass tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Potter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bass wants to control but Potter postures up.
Potter wants to stand but Bass has his arm trapped.
Potter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bass on the ground.
Potter trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Bass sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bass is trying to get back to full guard.
Bass moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bass looks gassed!

Potter stands up and waves to Bass to follow him.
Harry Potter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Potter misses with a double jab.
Potter scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Potter lands with a nice body punch.
Bass dodges the punch combination from Potter.
Decent striking displayed by Potter there.
Harry Potter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Potter misses with a few strikes there.
Potter lands with a straight right. Bass didn't see that one coming.
Potter misses with a double jab

and Bass counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Potter is doing well to control the position and prevent Bass from advancing to side control.
Potter tries to kick Bass off but Bass keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Bass wants to advance to full mount but Potter doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Potter is looking to stand up but Bass isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bass trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Potter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Potter manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but King Bass will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Potter stuffs the takedown attempt from Bass. Bass gets slowly back to his feet.
Potter throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Potter scores with a three punch combo!

Bass is rocked!
Potter throws a shot to the body.
Potter lands a lovely overhand right.
Bass is still on wobbly legs! Can Potter finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bass seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Potter shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Bass is backing up but Potter catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Bass covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Potter Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
