Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rex Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uruhara Hatake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler comes to the cage accompanied by Solonen ja Kosola - RÄPPII . Uruhara Hatake has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rex Tyler!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uruhara Hatake!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatake defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tyler.
Hatake misses with a takedown attempt

and Tyler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hatake's guard now.
Tyler wants to control from the top but Hatake keeps moving.
Tyler working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Hatake is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyler is aware though and is defending well.

Hatake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tyler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tyler passes into half guard.
Tyler is keen to just control but Hatake is a slippery customer.
Hatake desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tyler wants to take a breather but Hatake is having none of it.

Tyler wants to work for an arm triangle but Hatake is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Tyler seems to be working for a kimura but Hatake defends the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyler moves into full mount! Hatake won't be happy about that!
Hatake can't escape the position.
Hatake is squirming around, avoiding Tyler's attempts to control the action.
Hatake is looking to get to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hatake tries to lock up and control but Tyler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tyler wants to control the pace but Hatake is squirming around nicely.
Hatake looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tyler has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hatake's face.
Tyler with a couple of short strikes.
Hatake is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hatake tries to hold on but Tyler postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tyler is stalling here but it's allowed Hatake to get half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tyler is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tyler lands a nice short elbow.
Tyler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hatake manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hatake lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tyler!
Tyler bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Tyler is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Tyler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hatake working a defensive guard here.
Tyler scoring with punches to the head and body.

Hatake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tyler chips away with some ground and pound.

Hatake looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tyler working some strikes from top position.

Tyler stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Tyler shoots in and drives through. Hatake sprawls well.
No joy there for Hatake, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tyler leaves Hatake with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tyler goes for a double leg but Hatake avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hatake continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rex Tyler. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hatake is pressed up against the cage. Tyler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hatake down to the mat. Hatake avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Tyler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tyler lands in his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hatake wants to sweep but no luck.
Tyler wants to control from the top but Hatake keeps moving.
Hatake controls Tyler momentarily but Tyler frees himself.

Tyler drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Tyler seems to have locked his on tight now - Hatake screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Tyler, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Rex Tyler!
