PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny English (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bull has chosen The Last Shadow Puppets "The Age Of The Understatement" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Terry Bull is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bull throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Johnny English has been cut.
English uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bull.
English moves out of range of the body kick.
Bull misses with a two punch combination.
Bull avoids the head kick by English.
English could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bull lands with an overhand left.
Bull throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
English tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
English takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bull throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around English's waist but English gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bull off to one side.
English moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Bull clobbers English with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Bull moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Bull is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!English had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
English gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bull.
English moves forwards but Bull connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bull uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before English has time to react.

Terry Bull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bull dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on English. That did some damage!
English tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bull paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bull wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bull lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bull. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
