Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salvatore Lucania (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Voices- Rev Theory. Lucania has chosen Murder Inc as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucania feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mitchell's calf.
James Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lucania closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Mitchell is throwing shots to the body but Lucania manages to wriggle free. Mitchell pounces on him again and ends up in Lucania's guard.

Mitchell goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lucania turns into him and now he's in Mitchell's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mitchell is on top in guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Lucania counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mitchell's guard now.
Mitchell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lucania is one step ahead there.
Lucania sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mitchell's guard.
Lucania is nestled in close to Mitchell, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Lucania seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mitchell manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Lucania is sitting in close to Mitchell's body. Mitchell has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Lucania is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Lucania is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Mitchell.
