Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darek Walczak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscralo De Santiuya!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Walczak as De Santiuya shoots in.
Walczak connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Walczak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Horrible takedown by De Santiuya or perhaps it was just good defense by Walczak which made him look bad.
Oscralo De Santiuya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A clash of legs there as De Santiuya blocks the low kick.
De Santiuya shoots in for a takedown but Walczak shows good takedown defense.
Darek Walczak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscralo De Santiuya.
De Santiuya gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Walczak holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Walczak just misses with a elbow thrown towards De Santiuya's brow.
De Santiuya on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Walczak missing with knees to the body.
Walczak stalls.
Walczak unloads a knee to the mid-section. De Santiuya lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walczak is pressed up against the cage. De Santiuya has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Walczak down to the mat. Walczak avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
De Santiuya tries for a takedown but Walczak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Walczak is looking to slow De Santiuya down with leg kicks.
De Santiuya shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Walczak counters by clinching up.
Walczak tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and De Santiuya avoids it.
Nice elbow from Walczak.
De Santiuya takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Oscralo De Santiuya has been cut.
De Santiuya tries to pull guard but Walczak won't allow it.

De Santiuya manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De Santiuya looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
De Santiuya looks winded!
De Santiuya wants to get back to his feet but Walczak is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walczak would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

De Santiuya working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walczak doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walczak manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

De Santiuya is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Walczak got a little sloppy there for a moment and De Santiuya has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walczak has managed to get both his arms back between De Santiuya's legs - danger averted.

De Santiuya escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walczak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
De Santiuya is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

De Santiuya is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
De Santiuya not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
De Santiuya pulls Walczak in close to prevent any damage.
Walczak has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
De Santiuya thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Walczak is posturing up here but De Santiuya has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Walczak tries to roll out but it's too tight and Walczak has to tap! Slick submission there by De Santiuya!
