The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott misses with a few strikes there.
A telegraphed right hand from Abbott misses the target.
Abbott jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Abbott throws a poor cross that misses
and Cannon counters with a right hand to the body.
Abbott throws a series of punches but Cannon avoids them all with ease.
Cannon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abbott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cannon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cannon lands with a hook. Abbott tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Cannon scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Abbott on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Abbott slips a jab and a cross from Cannon.
Abbott scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Machine Cannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abbott misses with a hook. Cannon ducked under it nicely.

That has opened up Machine Cannon's cut even more.
Cannon misses with a looping right.

Cannon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Cannon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abbott.

Abbott seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Cannon uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Abbott is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Cannon's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Cannon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Good standup being displayed there by Abbott as he connects with a hook.

Abbott has closed the distance and engaged Cannon in a clinch.
Abbott blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Cannon swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Cannon has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Abbott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cannon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The cut above Machine Cannon's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Cannon cracks Abbott with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Machine Cannon's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Abbott goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Machine Cannon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
