Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nycky Downtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kon Sai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Downtime's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bring It. Sai has chosen Made In Thailand as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kon Sai was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Nycky Downtime!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kon Sai!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sai showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Downtime.
Sai rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Downtime moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nice uppercut lands for Sai. That snapped Downtime's head back.

Sai has Downtime up against the cage in a clinch.
Sai told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Sai misses with a short punch on the inside.
Sai pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Downtime tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Sai has Downtime pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Downtime manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Downtime.
Downtime takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Downtime counters with a head kick. That will keep Sai thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

That was a close round but I would say that Nycky Downtime will probably get the nod.

Downtime lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sai with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Downtime to score with a decent uppercut.
