Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vince Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermain Leaseau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jermain Leaseau has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vince Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jermain Leaseau!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Leaseau checks a leg kick.
Nice takedown defense from Green. No joy for Leaseau on that attempt.
Green has his takedown stuffed

and Leaseau counters by clinching up.
Leaseau lands a shoulder strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Leaseau.

Leaseau drops down looking for an ankle pick but Green pulls his leg out and moves away.

Leaseau tries to score a body lock takedown but Green shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Leaseau goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Leaseau misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Leaseau jumps into guard, dragging Green to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green wants to control from the top but Leaseau keeps moving.
Leaseau throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Leaseau looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there.

Leaseau stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leaseau wants it to stay on the feet.

Jermain Leaseau showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Leaseau has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Green uses from the top position.

Leaseau is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Green knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leaseau on the ground.

Leaseau is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Green defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
