Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zimmer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Roman's guard.
Roman trying to keep a closed guard but Zimmer is proving a slippery customer.
Roman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Zimmer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Zimmer is pushing down on Roman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Roman is fighting to maintain full guard but Zimmer has managed to sneak the leg through.
Zimmer winds up and cracks Roman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Roman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zimmer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zimmer's back!
Zimmer tries to escape but Roman has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Roman gets his hands free as Zimmer looks to control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Zimmer is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Roman gets his way!

Zimmer is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Roman is staying active.
Zimmer manages to reverse the position and now he's in Roman's guard. Nice work there by Zimmer.

Roman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zimmer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zimmer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Roman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zimmer connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Roman some visible discomfort.

Roman is rocked!
Zimmer lands a strong strike to the head of Roman. That's dazed him! Zimmer looking to finish here. Roman is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Zimmer lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
