Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kasim Akande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuya Inoue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Akande misses
and Inoue counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Akande is lucky that one didn't land flush.

We've been hearing reports that Akande has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Akande lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Inoue circles away quickly and effectively.
Inoue shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Akande's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kasim Akande will probably get the nod.

A bit of a lull in the action here.
Inoue tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Akande wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Akande thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
