Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Angulo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Maresh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maresh misses with a series of wild punches.
Maresh misses with a double jab.
Maresh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Angulo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Angulo throws a nice looking combination but Maresh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Angulo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


Maresh is rocked!
Angulo checks the leg kick.
A combination from Angulo does no damage.
A jab from Angulo finds it's way through Maresh's defenses.
Maresh is still on wobbly legs! Can Angulo finish him?

Angulo tries to keep at a distance but Maresh has taken the fight into the clinch.
Maresh seems to have recovered his senses.
A shot in the inside from Angulo.
Maresh prevents Angulo from breaking the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Angulo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Maresh keeps control of Angulo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Angulo looking to stall.
Maresh prevents Angulo from breaking the clinch.
Maresh is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Maresh looks gassed!
Angulo lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Maresh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Maresh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Angulo as he avoids it easily.
Kevin Angulo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Maresh.
Angulo drops Maresh with a big left hand! Maresh is injured, injured bad! Angulo jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Angulo!
