Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Reyes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luigi Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marshall rushes Reyes and presses him up against the cage.
Marshall throws an elbow but it misses.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Reyes looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Reyes.
Marshall misses with a hook from the clinch.
Reyes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marshall just stands there and leans against the cage.
Marshall swings wildly with an uppercut but Reyes uses good head movement to avoid it.
Reyes goes for a takedown in the clinch but Marshall prevents it.
Reyes is trying to push Marshall away but Marshall has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Reyes has hold of one of Marshall's legs. Marshall is fighting the takedown attempt but Reyes gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Reyes won't allow Marshall to get back to his feet.

Reyes wants to control from the top but Marshall keeps moving.
Marshall wants to sweep but no luck.
Reyes wants to get up but he can't break Marshall's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Marshall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Marshall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reyes on the ground.
Marshall looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reyes is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ben Reyes was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Reyes tries to stall but Marshall uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Marshall stops a takedown attempt from Reyes.

Reyes jumps guard but Marshall turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Marshall wants to stand up but Reyes is controlling him.
Reyes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marshall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Marshall throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Marshall fails with the takedown
and Reyes counters with a nice body shot.

Reyes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Reyes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Reyes wants to control from the top but Marshall keeps moving.

Marshall jumps into guard, dragging Reyes to the mat.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reyes is working Marshall over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Marshall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

and Marshall counters with a left to the body.

Reyes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reyes looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Marshall is looking to control Reyes's arms but Reyes gets an underhook and turns him. Now Marshall has his back to the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Reyes's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Marshall scores with a shot to the side of Reyes's head.

Reyes drags the fight down to the ground.
Marshall chips away with some ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Reyes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Marshall gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Marshall cracks a nice hook into Reyes's ribs.
Horrible takedown by Reyes or perhaps it was just good defense by Marshall which made him look bad.

Marshall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Reyes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reyes controls Marshall momentarily but Marshall frees himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marshall makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Reyes is looking for a triangle but Marshall pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luigi Marshall will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ben Reyes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marshall wants to stand and escape but instead Reyes has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Marshall gets a clinch.
Reyes wants to break free but Marshall has control.
Reyes tries to stall but Marshall uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Reyes wants the takedown. Marshall is fighting it off but Reyes persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Marshall's guard against the cage.

Reyes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Marshall is trying to control the position but Reyes postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Marshall defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reyes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reyes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Marshall darts in looking for a takedown but Reyes gets double underhooks and turns Marshall into the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luigi Marshall.
I think Marshall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
